Designer:Bill Cutler
Craftsman:Bill Cutler
Category:Interlocking
Material:Mahogany
Pieces:48

The Hexagonal Porcupine is an extension of the Hectix discovered independently by Bill and Stewart Coffin. Coffin patented the puzzle and used the name Hectix. The Hexagonal Porcupine uses four sets of twelve parallel hexagonal rods. There are only three different types of notched rods used, but the notching is very complex. Bill includes a ten-page explanation of the pieces and how to assemble and disassemble the puzzle.
