By lengthing the triangular stick segments of the Permutated Third Stellation a puzzle that resembles a nest of triangular sticks results. A nest of triangular sticks by themselves are not interlocking. Some must be glued together making compound pieces to create an interlocking puzzle.
The additional length of the triangular stick segments to make the Broken Sticks results in one of the two solutions for the Permutated Third Stellation impossible. The unique solution to Broken Sticks is very difficult. Stewart made 50 from 1980 to 1983. Number 32 in his numbering system.
